Course Description:
This 2-day block of training expands on the collision knowledge of the techniques and applications that are taught in a basic collision investigation course and introduces students to the mental and physical requirements needed for operators to safely operate a motorcycle. This course is for those who wish to build upon the fundamentals with a more advanced concept of mathematical formulas utilized to analyze motorcycle collision.

Instructors:
Tyson Kropp
Tyson Kropp completed 20 years with the Abilene Police Department where he worked as a collision reconstructionist. During this career, Mr. Kropp completed the 80-hour Northwestern and Harley Davidson Police Operator course along with the 120-hour Northwestern and Harley Davidson Police Motorcycle Instructor course. During his riding career, Tyson competed in numerous competitions finishing near the top of the competitors. Mr. Kropp became the primary instructor for the Abilene Police Department’s motorcycle training program.
Tyson is currently on the Board of Directors for the Texas Association of Accident Reconstruction Specialists (TAARS), holding the position of Treasurer.
Mr. Kropp is ACTAR accredited and started his own company, Scientific Collision and Reconstruction Services where he is an accident reconstructionist.
Tony Becker
Tony Becker began his career in the U.S. Army as a Military Police Officer. Tony continued his law enforcement career with the Henry County, Illinois Sheriff's Department and Bloomington, Illinois Police Department on the Crash Investigation teams. He became a death investigator while serving as the Chief Deputy Coroner with the McLean County, Illinois Coroner's Office, and eventually, oversaw the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board.
Tony served many years with the Institute of Police Technology and Management (IPTM) as an instructor, Traffic Section Coordinator, and Associate Director. During his tenure with IPTM, Tony developed and delivered curriculum in the field of traffic crash reconstruction and investigation. Tony developed the curriculum for IPTM's Advanced Pedestrian/Bicycle Crash Investigation Course and the publications Fundamentals of Pedestrian/Cyclist Traffic Crash Reconstruction and Lamp Examination for Traffic Collision Investigators, which are widely used in the field.
Tony established Forensic Training Group in 2016 and became Managing Partner in 2023. Tony is a qualified expert instructor for the classes Forensic Training Group offers.
Tony holds a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice Administration and is ACTAR accredited.

16 ACTAR credits will be available (application pending), and the cost for the application will be covered by IATAI.

Additional Information
Refunds, minus a $50 processing fee, will be made if the cancelation occurs more than 30 days prior to the course. Substitutions of attendees can be made with prior notice to an IATAI board member.
